Fast X Director Louis Leterrier has been rehired by Universal Pictures

He cut his teeth on characters like The Transporter as well as The Incredible Hulk, the Frenchman's work with Now You See Me and Lupin brought him the latest Fast & Furious gig after Justin Lin stepped away from the show just a little over one year in the past Fast X official site.

And it appears that studio bosses were incredibly pleased with Leterrier's approach to the fuel-centric universe.

Universal Pictures president Peter Cramer released a statement saying: "Louis joined the Fast & Furious team in a seamless manner with a profound knowledge of the franchise that is now stronger than ever before after more than two years.

"Under the direction of his director, Fast X is a thrilling high-intensity action film that includes all the action, emotions and surprises that people have come to anticipate and more.

In February, the director himself spoke out on the link to Fast X and Fast Five that is Jason Momoa's Dante Reyes.

"[Fast Five]" is undoubtedly the greatest film of the franchise. It's the best," Leterrier declared.

"That pursuit with the safe is the most thrilling scene in cinema history We were thinking"Let's Rashomon that scene. What happens if we see that scene from the perspective of Reyes and the men are the owners of the safe while Dom as well as Brian were the thieves who take them down?

"We are able to see them from a distance and they're saying "Take them away. They're evil and they took the safe'. This is what's fascinating - in doing this you're guiding the viewer to reconsider everything they've seen throughout the entire series. The antagonists have always have their own point of view and their own truth, which is quite different from other characters."

The past few years have seen several notable characters of The DC Extended Universe also pop into The Fast & Furious franchise. In the months before making his debut with the character of Peacemaker In The Suicide Squad, John Cena made headlines in the role of Jakob Tortetto in F9, and we're less than one months away to Fast X featuring Aquaman actor Jason Momoa as Dante Reyes as the main antagonist, who has a close relationship with Fast Five. Now, one of the details we have concerning Fast & Furious 11 is that a major DC talent is set to join for the film, even though the actor will be behind the scenes, not in front of the camera.

Christina Hodson, who wrote Birds of Prey and The Flash (the the next of 2023's planned DC films) and the cancelled Batgirl is now signed to write the final chapter of The Fast Saga with The Cloverfield Paradox's Oren Uziel. According to Deadline, Universal Pictures is seeking to bring in "some fresh voices" for the final chapter as well as, even though Hodson and Uziel have not worked together prior to now, they have "a close bond and share office space" which is why they decided this would be an appropriate project to unite them. This announcement comes less than an entire week since it was announced the Director Louis Leterrier will be back to lead Fast & Furious 11 after replacing Justin Lin on Fast X.

After writing the thriller films Shut In and Unforgettable, Hodson made her debut into the blockbuster market with the writing of Bumblebee which is the Transformers spinoff and prequel movie. Since her time, she's been hanging in the DC space with the mentioned movies, but she's able to mark her presence on one of the most acclaimed franchises by working with Uziel who also wrote Escape Room: Tournament of Champions and The Lost City. Although all of the major Fast & Furious movies between Tokyo Drift and The Fate of the Furious were written by Chris Morgan, the most recent two had Justin Lin co-writing the respective scripts along with Daniel Casey (F9) and Dan Mazeau (Fast X) We'll certainly get a fresh viewpoint on paper in the coming film Fast & Furious 11.

While Fast X and Fast & Furious 11 are believed to be in close proximity and, without seeing the first, we're still unaware of how Fast X will be an exciting finale, even though Vin Diesel and other cast members have expressed their views about the ending of the franchise. However, in addition to Dante Reyes wreaking havoc, the Fast X cast has brought many new actors which include Brie Larson (who's portraying Tess, who plays Mr. No-one's child), Alan Ritchson, Daniella Melchior, and Rita Moreno. The most recent Fast X trailer showcasing Momoa's character attempting to demolish the Vatican which is why you should give it an opportunity to watch it below if you haven't seen it yet.
